American Cockroach

They are probably the biggest of these three. It grows around 25mm in length. These critters are a dark brown or black color with a shiny body and move more slowly than the other cockroaches. They are often called the waterbug since these creatures prefer damp, dark hiding places. They are most probably seen in cellars or damp mulch. Incubation can last two months with about 15 eggs hatching and; they can each live for up to 2 years.
